Comment by Jim Hartsell: Elizabeth Rentfrow was "Aunt Betsy" to James A. Hartsell. She was a sister of James' father David Hartzell, and daughter of Adam & Christina (Sink) Hartzell. The Rentfrow family lived near Adam Hartzell in Franklin County, Virginia. She married Moses Rentfrow in 1818 in Montgomery County, Indiana. They lived near Adam Hartzell. I got this same picture from a Rentfrow descendant also claiming the photo is of Elizabeth, and that it was taken in 1849. She was 51 years old and presumably living in Kosciusko County, Indiana between South Bend and Fort Wayne. She died in 1881. Moses died in 1849. This is the only known photo of a child of Adam Hartzell.
